Manna In Due Season

    Hello Everyone,

I would like to introduce our third guest blogger of the month, Melody Schamel.   She is a wonderful young lady who had a passion for sharing God's Word and her Saviour's Love.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She also likes outdoor activities with lots of action!  I hope you enjoy reading what God had laid on her heart to share.  Thanks for reading, and as always, if you feel you would be interested in becoming a guest blogger, please contact me.  :)  God bless you.

Now, we're going to talk about a journey, how that God brought His people out of Egypt into the promised land, a perfect type of leaving sin, coming into the Spirit land. Now, there's three stages of this journey; First, Israel in Egypt, Israel in the journey, Israel in Palestine, which is a perfect type of justification by faith, coming out; sanctification as it passed through the Blood, the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It's perfect, the stages of the Church. That is where the Church is staged now.

We all have read about how God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt.  How He opened the Red Sea, and guided them through the desert.  Then He gave them the commandments, and rained manna out of the sky for them, yet still they were ungrateful.  I'm sure many of us think "If I lived back then I wouldn't have backslid or murmured and complained". But I think we do it more than we realize. Let us for a moment, compare ourselves with them.

The Hebrew children were slaves in the land of Egypt for about 400 years. They were whipped by taskmasters, and pharaoh had complete control of their lives.  We were born in sin, shaped in iniquity, and came to this world speaking lies. Satan had control of our lives. And we were slaves to sin.

After the 400 years of slavery God sent a prophet to lead them out. God showed signs and wonders, and one day God through Mosses, commanded them to take a lamb without spot or blemish, kill it, then take its blood and paint it on the side posts, and the upper door post.  It would be the sign to the death angel.  God has sent His word and a prophet to us; we don't need to be slaves to sin any more. We have a Lamb that was without spot or blemish, without one sin, perfect before God. He died and we are to apply His blood to our lives, to paint it all over our lives. Not to keep it hidden, but display it. And the angel of death will pass over us.

Finally pharaoh decided to let the Hebrews go.  Moses led them out of Egypt to the Red Sea, where God opened the sea and they crossed over.  Likewise, God has led us out of sin.

"Here it is. Then what's the next thing for the believer? The next thing is the baptism of the Holy Spirit then.  Moses led the children of Israel right down to the Red Sea, was baptized in the Red Sea: the sea, water, representing Spirit."
54-0330 - "Redemption In Completeness, In Joy"
    Rev. William Marrion Branham

After God destroyed their enemies, the Hebrews lost their joy and complained to God.  So God sent down manna to feed them.  They went out, picked up what they needed for that day, and ate it.  Many times I think we forget too quickly what God has done for us. Where we were before He found us? What has He done for you since He's brought you out? We must not forget all His blessings that He has poured out on us! God rains down His word, His blessings, through listening to the tapes, going to church, and reading our Bibles. But we must grab it and apply it to our lives and our situations.  Take it, eat it up! It is fresh every morning!

Time does not permit us to go much further, for there are many more things we could go in to. Like, God bringing them into the Promise Land, and how they had to claim their inheritance.  But I love how God has everything right there, it's all laid out before us. Everything we have need of, He has ready for us. Continue walking in His footsteps!
